Jk Earthing Electrodes

Down here in Aralvaimozhi, the wind never really stops blowing. Our place, Jk Earthing Electrodes, is right on the main road in Ramlekkuvanar Bhawan. It is a solid building that has been here for quite some time. Kanyakumari is a beautiful part of the country, but for us, it is just where we work every day. We spend most of our time dealing with earthing electrodes. It is heavy, metallic work that keeps your hands busy. The workshop isn't quiet. There is always some kind of clanging or the sound of tools being moved around. We have a small group of people here who have mostly been together for years. We know each other’s families and what we like for lunch. Usually, we get some food from the local shops nearby. The main road stays busy with trucks and buses passing by all the time, heading towards the tip of India. Sometimes the dust from the road comes inside, but we just wipe it off and keep going. We don’t have any fancy robots or high-tech setups. It is just manual work and machines that we’ve learned to fix ourselves when they break down. It might not look like much to a stranger passing through, but it is our livelihood. We open up early in the morning and stay until the work is finished for the day. It is just how things go for us here in Kanyakumari.
