Jeyananda Hospital

We are over in Kaliyakavila in Kanyakumari. It is a local hospital that has been around for a good bit. We don't have a very complicated setup. There are rooms for consultations and a few areas for patients who need more attention. It’s a practical building. Kaliyakavila is a busy place, and being in Kanyakumari means we see a lot of different people. Some are local, others are just passing through the region. We handle the daily medical issues that come up. It’s not a place with a lot of chrome and glass. It feels more like a lived-in space because it is used so much. The nurses and the assistants know most of the people who come in regularly. We keep our own records and try to stay on top of the paperwork. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the traffic outside, but we are used to it by now. We don't do much in the way of promotion. If you need a doctor and you are in Kaliyakavila, you just come here. We take care of things as they come. There’s a waiting area with some benches and a small desk at the front. It’s a simple operation. We just try to get the jobs done and help the people who live around here. It’s a steady pace most days. We are just a part of the landscape in Kanyakumari, doing our normal medical work.
