Daily Mart

Daily Mart is located at 16/19 on the Kanyakumari Main Road in Vivekanandapuram. We're right where the action is, which is great for business but means we’re always on our feet. The shop is full of all kinds of things that people in the neighborhood need every day. We open early in the morning so people can get what they need before they go to work. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside because we try to stock as much as possible on the shelves. We have groceries, snacks, and household items. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the road, and we have to hurry to unload everything. It’s a lively place. We know most of our regulars by name and what they usually buy. We don't have fancy scanners or a high-tech system; we just keep track of things the old-fashioned way. The salt air from being near the coast sometimes makes things a bit damp, but that's just Kanyakumari for you. We don't spend money on big signs or ads. People just know we're here. We’re just a local shop trying to provide what the community needs at a fair price. My family helps out behind the counter, especially during the busy evening rush when everyone is coming home. It’s a lot of work, but we like the routine of it. We close up late once the street finally starts to quiet down for the night.
