Arul Hardwares

Arul Hardwares is tucked away at 39, C-38 in Chenthura Nagar. We are over in Nagarkoil, which is where we’ve lived and worked for years. The shop has everything you’d expect from a local hardware place. It’s a bit crowded inside because we try to keep a lot of different things on the shelves for our regulars. You might have to move a box or two to get through the aisles. We like it that way, it feels like a real shop. We spend our time helping folks find the right nut, bolt, or tool for their home projects. Nagarkoil is a nice community and we know many of the people who walk through our door. Sometimes we don't have exactly what someone wants right that second, but we usually figure something out or find a workaround. We aren't looking to expand into some giant warehouse. This spot in Chenthura Nagar is plenty for us. It’s just a normal hardware store run by normal people. We open the doors every morning and see what the day brings. It’s not a fancy life, but it is ours. We handle the inventory ourselves and try to keep things organized, even if it looks a bit messy to an outsider. Arul Hardwares is just a part of the neighborhood, and that’s how we like it. We usually keep a pot of tea going in the back for when things slow down a little bit.
