At 14/8, Civil Line, you’ll find our small office for Zoya Exim. It’s a pretty standard workspace where we handle the day-to-day tasks of running a business involved in trade. We aren’t a huge corporation with hundreds of employees; it’s just a handful of us making sure everything runs smoothly. The walls are mostly covered with calendars and maps, and there’s always a stack of shipping documents on someone’s desk. We deal with a lot of different products, so things stay interesting. One day it’s one thing, the next day it’s something totally different. The building itself is older, which gives it a bit of character, though the stairs can be a bit of a workout. We like being in the Civil Line area because it feels established. Our work involves a lot of coordination with people in different cities, so the phones are usually ringing. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. We just explain what we do to whoever asks. It’s a lot of hard work and sometimes things go wrong, like a truck breaking down or a delivery being late. When that happens, we just roll up our sleeves and figure it out. It’s an honest way to make a living, and we’ve been doing it this way for quite some time now. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the work at hand, day after day, until the sun goes down.
