Unicorn Saddlery

Our place is over at 117-H-1/634 in Pandu Nagar, and if you’ve ever been by, you know it smells like leather the second you get near the door. We spend a lot of time sitting at the benches with various tools and pieces of hide spread out everywhere. It’s not the most organized looking shop, but we know where everything is kept. Usually, the radio is playing something in the background while we work on the stitching or the metal bits for the saddles. Pandu Nagar is a crowded area, so there’s always someone popping in to ask a question or just to see what we are making that week. We started out small and stayed that way because it's easier to keep track of things when it's just a few of us. The work is slow sometimes because you can't really rush leather if you want it to sit right. We have stacks of finished goods in the back waiting to be picked up. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time finding the exact number in this lane, so we end up standing out on the corner waving them down. It’s a lot of manual labor, and our hands are usually pretty tired by the time we lock up for the evening. We don’t do much advertising, mostly just people telling their friends about the shop here in the neighborhood. It is a bit messy, but it is home.
