You can find us over on Canal Road at numbers 63 through 66. It’s a long stretch of road and we occupy a good bit of space there for the manufacturing. Working with leather is a messy business, and our facility shows that. It’s a place of work, not a showroom. We have large vats and tables where the hides are processed. The air is thick with the smell of the tanning process, and the floors are usually wet from the cleaning we have to do. We’ve been on Canal Road for years, and most of the guys working here have been with us since they were young. It’s a tough job and the hours can be long when we have a big order to finish. We don't have fancy office chairs; we have sturdy stools and benches that can take a beating. Our focus is just on the leather itself. We spend our days checking the texture and the color of the skins to make sure they are what they should be. Sometimes a batch doesn't turn out right and we have to start over, which is frustrating but part of the game. We don't use much in the way of fancy talk or big promises. We just make the leather and sell it to the people who need it. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living, and we’re happy to be doing it here.
