Surendra General Store

My family has been running Surendra General Store for quite a while now. We are located at 136/6 in Geeta Bazar. If you know the Shastri Nagar area in Kanpur, you probably know where the Keshav Saraswati Shishu Mandir is. We are right near that school. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when parents are dropping kids off. The shop itself isn't very big, but we try to keep all the basic stuff people need for their homes. I usually sit at the counter most days, and my brother helps out when it gets crowded. We get a lot of regulars from the neighborhood who just stop by to pick up soap or some snacks. It gets a bit dusty because of the road, but that's just how it is here. Sometimes we run out of things, but we try to restock as fast as we can. It’s a simple life running a store in Kanpur. We know most of the faces that walk in, which makes the day go by faster. Dealing with change is always a headache, so we keep a lot of coins ready. If you're walking through Geeta Bazar, you’ll see our sign. It’s nothing fancy, just a regular place where you can get your daily essentials without much fuss. We've seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but the shop stays pretty much the same. I hope you drop by whenever you need something small for the house.
