Sunshine Tanning Industries

Sunshine Tanning Industries is located over at 482-483 in the Wajidpur area of Jajmau. If you’ve been to Jajmau, you know it’s the heart of the tanning business. Our place is right in the thick of it. It’s a rugged environment, and we’re often covered in dust or working with water and dyes. It’s not the kind of job you do if you want to stay perfectly clean. We have a large space where we process the hides, and it’s always busy. We’ve been doing this for a long time, and many of the workers here have been with us since the beginning. We don’t have a fancy front office with air conditioning. We just have a desk where we handle the paperwork and take calls. The smell of the tannery is something you just get used to after a while. We focus on getting the tanning process right because that’s the most important part. We don’t spend time writing mission statements or anything like that. We just make sure the leather is ready for whatever it’s going to be used for next. It’s hard work, and the days are long, especially in the summer heat. But it’s a living, and we take pride in just getting the work done without complaining. We’re just a bunch of regular people working in the pits and the drying sheds every day. It's a tough trade, but it's ours.
