Souvenir Papers

Over at 7/110, Swarup Nagar, we’ve got Souvenir Papers. If you come by, the first thing you’ll notice is the stacks of paper everywhere. It’s just the nature of the business. We deal with all kinds of sheets and reams, and they tend to take up every available inch of space we have. Most of our time is spent counting out orders or checking the weight of different batches. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy bundles and moving them onto the delivery trucks that pull up outside. The neighborhood is fairly busy, so we have to be quick with the loading. Inside the office, it’s a bit of a mess with samples and price lists scattered around. We don't have a marketing team or a fancy website person; we just talk to our customers directly and write things down in a ledger. Sometimes the dust from the paper gets to you, and we have to step outside for some air. We’ve been at this address for a long time, and we know most of the people who walk past our door every morning. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just provide the paper people need and try to be honest about how long it will take to get it to them. It’s a basic trade, but it’s our life and it keeps the lights on for everyone here.
