Shukla General Store

Shukla General Store is located in the New Postal Colony over in Anwar Ganj, Kanpur. We are at number 11, and it’s the kind of place where you can find almost all the small things you need for a house. We have been here for years, and the shop has become a bit of a landmark for the people living in the colony. We stock everything from stationery for the school kids to washing powder and cooking oil for the homes. Kanpur is a crowded, lively city, and Anwar Ganj is no different. There is always noise from the street, but inside the shop, we just focus on helping whoever is standing at the counter. We don't have any fancy computerized systems, just our notebooks and a good memory for what our regulars usually buy. Sometimes we sit on the wooden stools out front when things are slow and chat with the neighbors passing by. The shop isn't very large, so we have to use every inch of the walls for shelving. It can get a bit dusty with all the traffic outside, but we try to keep the products clean. We don't do any big promotions or sales, we just keep the prices fair and the stock fresh. It’s just us working here, making sure the people of the colony have a reliable place to shop for their daily essentials without any trouble.
