Shri Anil Tulsyan

My name is Shri Anil Tulsyan and my place is located at 25/38, Karachi Khana, which is just off the main Mall Road in Kanpur. It is a bit of a maze back here in the Karachi Khana streets, but once you find the Indian Bank, we are pretty close by. The area is quite old, and the buildings are all squeezed together, which makes for an interesting work environment. You hear the scooters honking outside all day long. I have been operating from this 208001 address for a while now. The office is small and filled with papers and files that have been there for years. It’s not one of those modern glass offices you see in the new parts of town. It is just a simple room with a couple of chairs and a wooden table where I sit and do my work. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, so I keep a torch handy. I usually have a cup of tea in the morning while looking over the lists of things that need doing. Neighbors pop in now and then to chat or ask a quick question. It is a very local way of doing things. We don't have a big team or fancy equipment, just the basics to get through the day's tasks. It gets dusty because of the construction nearby, so I spend a lot of time wiping down the desk. It’s just daily life for us here.
