Shivam Provision Store

Shivam Provision Store is located at 640 Pashupati Nagar in Kidwai Nagar. We are quite close to the old Dasu Kuaan, which is a well-known spot here in Kanpur. Our shop is a basic provision store where we focus on items for the kitchen. We have large bins of different types of rice and lentils, and we sell them by the kilo. We also have smaller things like spices, salt, and cooking oil. The building is an older one and the walls are thick, which helps keep things a bit cooler. I spend most of my day sitting behind the wooden counter weighing out items for the neighbors. We have lived in this area for a long time, so we know most of the families who stay in Pashupati Nagar. It is a regular routine of opening up, cleaning the jars, and checking the stock. We don't have any big neon signs or anything like that, just a board with the name on it. Sometimes the kids come in after school to buy a single piece of candy or a small packet of chips. It is a nice way to spend the day, even if it is a bit tiring to be here from morning until night. We just try to keep the staples that everyone needs for their daily meals and keep the shop running smoothly. Every day is pretty much the same and that is fine with us.
