Shifa Clinic

Our clinic is tucked away at 535 'c' Block in Defence Colony, Jajmau. It’s a residential area, so it’s usually quieter than the main roads. Shifa Clinic has been sitting here in C Block for a while now. It’s a small space, nothing like those huge hospitals in the city center. We have a few chairs for people to sit while they wait their turn. Most of the people who come in are neighbors from Jajmau who know us by name. The walls have some old posters on them and the desk is always covered in notebooks. We don't use any complicated systems, just basic record-keeping and a lot of face-to-face talking. The lighting inside is a bit yellow, but it’s comfortable enough. If you live in Defence Colony, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy. It’s just a place where you can get a quick look at whatever is bothering you. Sometimes the doctor is a little late because of traffic, but nobody seems to mind much. We just sit and chat until they arrive. It’s an honest little clinic without any of that corporate feel. We do our work, close up in the evening, and come back the next day. It is a simple routine that fits the neighborhood well. Usually, we know exactly who is coming in before they even reach the door. It’s just how things are here.
