H. M. Store

If you head into the Topi Bazar, you’ll find us in the Bihari Lal Purna Complex. We’re at Shop No. 21-33/117. Being in a place like Topi Bazar means it’s always loud, crowded, and full of energy. Our store, H. M. Store, is right in the middle of all that chaos. The complex is a bit of a maze, but once you find our shop number, you’ll see we have quite a lot packed into a small space. We don’t have fancy lighting or designer displays. We just have shelves piled high with whatever stock we’re carrying this week. People come in and out all day, asking prices and checking goods. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We don’t use computers for everything; there’s still a lot of pen and paper involved here. The floors get swept every morning, but by noon, they’re covered in footprints again. That’s just the nature of being in a busy bazaar. We like the noise of the market and the way everyone knows everyone else. We don’t bother with advertisements or big signs. People find us because we’ve been here and we do what we say we’ll do. It’s a simple shop in a crowded complex, and that’s exactly how we like it. I usually sit near the back by the ledger, and the heat can get a bit much in July, but the tea guy comes by twice a day to help.
