S Kala Architects

We are S Kala Architects, located out on the Lucknow Bypass Lucknow Road in Kanpur. It’s a bit of a drive depending on where you're coming from, but we’ve been at this spot for a while. The 208023 area is where we spend most of our time. It's an architect's office, so you’ll see plenty of drawings and rolls of paper lying around on the tables. We don’t really go in for the whole "designer" look in the office itself. It’s a working space, plain and simple. Some days it’s just the sound of pencils on paper or clicking mice. Kanpur is a big city and being on the bypass means we see a lot of through traffic. We’ve worked on a variety of things over the years. People usually call us or just drop in when they are passing by the Lucknow Road. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just draw up plans and try to make sure everything fits where it’s supposed to. It can get dusty with the road being so close, but we don't mind it much. It’s just us here, doing the work we know how to do. No big corporate structure, just a few people who understand how buildings go together. We’ve been part of the Kanpur landscape for a good bit now and we just keep at it, one drawing at a time, every single day.
