S. K. Exports India

If you come down to Meston Road, you will find us in Noor Market. We are on the first floor in room number 33. It is a bit of a climb up the stairs, especially when we are carrying samples or documents back and forth. S. K. Exports India has been in this market for a good bit of time. The market is always crowded with people and bikes. It gets quite noisy down there on the street, but up here in our room, it is a little quieter so we can focus. We spend most of our time on the phone or checking through lists. It’s not a huge office, just enough space for us to work. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit and wait for it to come back. That is just how it is in this part of town. We handle a lot of different things for the export side of the business. My desk is usually covered in notebooks and pens. We don't have any fancy furniture. We just use what we have to get the job done. Lunch is usually something quick from a nearby stall. We know all the other shop owners around here. It feels like a little community. We just keep our heads down and try to stay on top of the orders. It’s a lot of paperwork. Every day feels a bit different but the work stays the same. The fans hum all day while we check the shipping manifests and talk to the guys downstairs.
