Royal Leather

Our workshop is at A/143 LIG in Pokharpur, over in the Jajmau area. We are located near the Jamjam Masjid, so we hear the calls to prayer throughout the day. The smell of leather is the first thing you notice when you walk in; it is thick and stays with you even after you leave for home. We have rolls of hides stacked against the walls and heavy machines for stitching and cutting. Jajmau is known for this kind of work, so we fit right in with the rest of the neighborhood. It is hard work on the hands, dealing with tough leather and sharp tools every single day. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the skins before we even start cutting anything out. The floor is usually covered in small scraps and bits of thread. It is not the cleanest job, but there is a satisfaction in seeing a raw piece of leather turn into something useful. We have a small desk for paperwork, but it is mostly covered in samples and tools. The lighting isn't great in the back, so we do most of the fine work near the front windows where the light is better. It is a basic setup, focused entirely on the leather. We have been at this LIG address for a good while, and most people in the area know exactly where we are.
