R K Katiyar Clinic is located at 117/154 in Geeta Nagar. Being a clinic, it’s a bit smaller and more personal than the big hospitals you see around. Geeta Nagar is a nice neighborhood, and we feel like we are part of the daily life here. The clinic is basically just a few rooms where we see people who live nearby. We have a small sign out front with the name on it, and the door is usually propped open to let some air in. Inside, there’s a small desk where we keep the registers and a few chairs for people to sit while they wait. We don’t have any fancy computerized calling systems; we just call out the next person’s name. The walls are decorated with a few old health posters that have been there forever. Dr. Katiyar has been around for a long time, and everyone in the area knows the way to the clinic. We spend a lot of time just chatting with the patients about their families and the local news. It’s not a high-pressure environment at all. Sometimes we run out of tea or sugar and have to send someone to the corner shop. It’s a very local, down-to-earth kind of place. We don’t try to be a big corporate medical center. We are just a neighborhood clinic where you can come in and get things checked out without any big fuss.
