Our office is located at Gopala Chamber on the 5th floor, right in the Parade area. It is a bit of a climb if the lift is not working, which is ironic since we are in the elevator and escalator business. We spend our time managing the maintenance and installation of these machines. The office is quite small and it is usually cluttered with manuals, tools, and metal samples. It is not a place where we host big meetings. We are usually out on-site at different buildings in the city. When we are in the office, we are mostly answering the phone or ordering parts. We do not have any big slogans or marketing materials. We just know how elevators are built and how to keep them running safely. The team has been doing this for many years, so we have seen just about every kind of mechanical failure you can imagine. We do not try to sound like a huge corporation. We are just a local company that knows its way around a motor and a pulley system. Sometimes we get called out in the middle of the night for an emergency, but that is just part of the job. We keep a simple routine and focus on making sure the machines we look after are working like they should. It is just regular work for us. We drink a lot of coffee to stay awake during the busy weeks and try to stay organized even when the paperwork starts piling up.
