Om Sai Udyog

Our workshop is at Plot No- 1119/1 in Iqbal Ganj. You can find Om Sai Udyog if you look for the Singh Seva Gurudwara; we’re quite close to it. It’s an industrial sort of area, so it’s never really quiet. Between the machines and the traffic, there’s always a hum in the air. We do a lot of manufacturing and small-scale production here. The plot is big enough for our equipment, but it gets crowded when we have a big project going on. We don't have a reception area with coffee or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find us on the floor working. Our clothes usually have a few stains, and there’s always a bit of scrap material lying around. That’s just the way an udyog operates. We don't spend time on fancy descriptions or mission statements. We just focus on the items we’re making. Iqbal Ganj is a hardworking neighborhood, and we try to fit that mold. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, or a machine needs a part we have to wait for, but we deal with it. It’s a real place with real people doing manual work. We like the proximity to the Gurudwara; it’s a good landmark for people trying to find our plot. We’re just a small outfit trying to do a good day’s work and keeping the machines running as much as possible for the locals.
