Northern Exports

Northern Exports is based in Gopala Chamber on the third floor, over at 14/123-A. It is right opposite the P.P.N. Market on The Mall. If you are ever in that part of Kanpur, you know how busy it gets with all the shoppers and the traffic every single day. Our office is a bit of a climb up the stairs, but it is a good spot once you get there. We deal with exports, so we are always surrounded by samples of various products. One day it might be textiles and the next it could be something else entirely. We have a lot of shelves filled with things we have sent out over the years. The office is usually a bit cluttered because we are always receiving new things to look at or ship out. We have a small window that looks out over the market, and sometimes we just watch the people below for a few minutes during a tea break. It is not a corporate environment at all. We wear regular clothes and talk to each other like neighbors. We have been doing this for a long time and we know the ropes of the export business pretty well. It is just about getting the goods from point A to point B without too much trouble or delay. We take things as they come and try not to get too worked up about the small stuff. After the market closes, the street gets a bit quieter and we finish our paperwork.
