You can find Nks Jewellers Private Limited tucked away in Dev Saranchowraha Gali. We are basically operating out of the space owned by Sunil Kumar Rastogi. It’s one of those narrow lanes where everyone knows everyone else. The business is pretty straightforward. We deal with jewelry, but we don't make a big fuss about it. The shop is small and we have to keep everything very organized so we don't lose track of the small items. Working in a gali means you deal with a lot of foot traffic and noise, but it keeps things interesting. We have a small safe in the corner and a few display boxes. The lighting isn't the best, so we use some extra lamps on the counters. We usually start the day by sweeping the front and then settling in with the newspapers. There isn't a lot of mystery to what we do. We buy, we sell, and we fix things if they break. Sometimes people bring in old family pieces to be cleaned up. We do that too. It’s just me and one other person most days. We don't have a website or anything like that. If you want to see us, you just come down to the gali. It's a practical way to run a shop without all the extra overhead costs that big stores have. We just try to stay open on time.
