Naman General Store

Naman General Store is located at 128/123 in Block 4-1 of Yashoda Nagar. We are pretty close to the Upasana Guest House, which is a good landmark if you are looking for our shop. Kanpur is a big city, but this corner of Yashoda Nagar feels like its own little village where everyone knows each other. The store is where I spend most of my life. We have the usual things people need, like milk in the mornings, snacks, and daily household items. The shelves are mostly made of metal and they groan a bit under the weight of the big detergent packs. I like the morning time best when it is still a bit cool outside and the fresh bread delivery arrives. By midday, it is just me and the old radio keeping each other company until the school kids show up in the afternoon. We do not have a big fancy sign, just the simple name over the door. The address is 128/123, Block 4-1, and we have been here long enough that we do not really need to explain much. It is just a place to get what you need for the house. We keep a few chairs for the older folks who want to rest their legs for a minute and chat. There is not much more to it than that. Just a shop in a quiet block, doing what we can for the neighbors.
