Munna Provision Store

My shop is Munna Provision Store and you can find it at Shop No-02 in Barra II. It is right in the Nayi Basti area of Kanpur. This neighborhood is where I grew up, so I know almost everyone who walks through the door. I carry the basic groceries that every household needs like soaps, pulses, and spices. The shop is not very large, but I make sure every inch of the walls is covered with items. It gets quite busy in the mornings when the ladies come out for their daily shopping. I usually have a few sacks of grain sitting on the floor near the entrance because there is nowhere else to put them. Kanpur can be very hot, so I usually have the fan running at full speed all day. Sometimes the light goes out, but we have a small battery lamp to keep going. I am not much for fancy talk or business strategies. I just make sure I have what people ask for. If someone wants a specific brand of washing powder I don't have, I try to get it the next time the supplier visits. It is a steady job and it keeps me connected to the community here. I have been in this same spot for years and I do not plan on moving anywhere else anytime soon.
