Multi Exports International

Our office for Multi Exports International is situated at 84/85, right by the Anwarganj Rly. Station on G.T. Road. Being this close to the station means there’s always a crowd outside and plenty of noise. We’ve grown used to the sound of the engines and the heavy traffic on the road. The building itself is quite old, and our section of it has high ceilings that make it feel bigger than it actually is. We have a lot of wooden shelves that are packed with samples and old records. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is. The floor is made of that old-fashioned stone that stays cool even when it’s boiling outside. We spend a lot of our time checking over shipping lists and making sure the labels are printed correctly. The printer has a habit of jamming when we’re in a hurry, which is always frustrating. There’s a small balcony that looks out toward the tracks, though we mostly use it to store empty crates. We don't have a corporate uniform or anything like that; we just wear what’s comfortable for a day of lifting and moving boxes. The local tea seller comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take our only real breaks. It’s a straightforward way of working in a part of the city that never seems to sleep. We just keep our heads down and get the orders out as they come to us each day.
