If you find yourself at Bara Chauraha, you are pretty close to where we work. Montana Export is located at 104/67sisamau. It is a very busy intersection, so there is always the sound of horns and people shouting outside our door. The building itself is older. We have these tall windows that let in a lot of dust from the street, so we are always wiping down the tables. Working here means you get to see a lot of the local life passing by every hour. We deal with exports, which sounds complicated but mostly involves a lot of counting and checking lists. We have a small team here. Most of us live nearby, so we walk or take a cycle rickshaw to get in. There is no big sign or anything flashy, just the address painted on the wall. Inside, it is mostly stacks of samples and heavy wooden crates. Sometimes the delivery guys struggle to find a place to park because the Chauraha is so crowded. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing out shipping manifests by hand. It is a bit cramped when we have a big shipment ready to go. The floor is made of that old grey stone that stays cold in the winter. We keep a radio playing in the background, usually some old songs to keep the mood light while we pack up the goods for the day.
