Modern Art

Modern Art is a small shop located at 60/1, Galla Mandi Chauraha. We are right opposite the ITI Hostel in Vijay Nagar. It’s a busy intersection, so there is always a lot of noise from the traffic and the many students walking around. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. The shop is filled with various materials and half-finished projects that we are working on. It’s not the neatest place you will ever see, but we know exactly where everything is kept. We do different kinds of art and design work for the local community. Sometimes we are painting, other times we are cutting through materials for a project. We don't have a big staff here, just a couple of us who have been doing this kind of work for years. We like the location because it’s easy for people to stop by while they are out. We often have people sticking their heads in just to see what we are currently working on. We don't mind the interruptions. The building is a bit old, and the walls could probably use some new paint, but it works well for us. We spend most of our day focused on the tasks we have at hand. There’s no corporate structure or meetings here. We just decide what needs to be done each morning and do it. Sometimes we have a lot of work.
