Millennium Exports

People around here know where Pokharpur is, it's pretty busy and there is always something going on near No. 11/7. We’ve been at this address in Jajmau for a while now. Millennium Exports isn't a fancy place with glass walls or anything like that. It's mostly just us handling shipments and making sure things get where they need to go. Some days the traffic outside is a real mess, especially when the big trucks try to turn into the narrow lanes. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking lists in the office. It gets hot in the summer, so we keep the fans going all day. Dealing with exports means there's always a pile of papers on someone’s desk and a bit of a rush to meet deadlines. We know the neighbors and the guys who deliver tea nearby. It’s a regular workspace. We don't really do big speeches about what we do, we just show up and get the work finished. If you walk past the gate, you’ll probably hear the noise of the city and see a few of us moving boxes or talking about the next load. It’s just how it goes here in this part of town. The building isn't brand new, but it works for what we need. We've stayed in this spot because it's where everything happens for us. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation for a small group of people who have worked together for a long time.
