Meraj Tanning Industries

Meraj Tanning Industries is located right in the middle of Jajmau at 102/87-A(1). If you have ever been to this part of town, you know it is the place for leather tanning. The whole area has that heavy, distinct smell that comes with the job. We have been here for a long time, and the building shows its age a bit, but it serves its purpose. Tanning is tough work. It involves a lot of water, chemicals, and heavy lifting. Our floors are usually wet, and the workers are always moving around with skins. It is not a place for someone who wants to keep their shoes clean. We just focus on getting the hides processed correctly so they can be turned into something useful later on. There isn't any corporate fluff here. We don't have a fancy boardroom or expensive furniture. We just have our pits, our machines, and our staff who know the trade inside and out. Some days the heat in Jajmau is almost too much, but we keep the fans going and stay on schedule. It is a local business through and through. Most of the people around here are doing the same kind of work, so there is a bit of a community feel to the street. We just do our bit and try to keep things running smoothly every day.
