Meena Sent & General Store

You can find our shop at 88/323 Nala Road in the Chamanganj area of Kanpur. We are right across from the Baraf Khana, which most people around here know well. It’s a very active neighborhood, always full of movement and noise from the street. We sell a mix of scents and general household items. The smell of the perfumes mixes with the other things in the shop, which is actually quite nice. It’s not a very big shop, just a few counters and shelves lining the walls. We've been here for quite a while, and the floor tiles are starting to look a bit worn out from all the walking. My brother and I manage the place together. We don't have a lot of help, so we do everything ourselves, from cleaning to talking to suppliers. Kanpur can be very dusty, so we are always wiping down the bottles and jars. Our customers are mostly local residents who stop by on their way home. They might need a small bottle of attar or just some regular soap. We don’t do any big advertising or anything like that. People just come in because they know we are here and we have what they need. It’s a humble business, and we are happy to keep it running just the way it is. It might not look like much, but it’s our place and we take care of it.
