Mandakini Travels

Mandakini Travels is over at 6/25 on Parwati Bangla Road in Kanpur. Work has been going on from this location for many years now. It’s a well-known street and the office is easy enough to find. This is a very simple place. Having a lot of fancy things around isn't something that happens here. Only what is needed to get the travel bookings done is kept in the office. Everything from bus tickets to booking cars for people is handled by the staff. A small group of us works here. This business isn't part of any big franchise or corporate network. It’s just a local outfit. A lot of the customers have been coming here for years. They live in the neighborhood and often know everyone by name. No big advertising or trying to sound more important than reality is done. Work involves sitting at the desks and going through travel requests. Parwati Bangla Road gets very crowded, especially in the evenings, so there is always something to see out the window. Time is spent checking schedules and making sure the prices are fair. If someone has a question, it gets answered directly. There’s no sales pitch or complicated language used here. Helping people get to where they are going without any trouble is the main focus. It’s a very practical way to run a shop. We just keep doing our work every day.
