Kanpur Service Wala is located at Shop No.-4 in Mukul Market, which is in the Gandhinagar area. We are quite near the Bank of India, so there’s always a lot of foot traffic from people going to do their banking or running other errands. Mukul Market is one of those places that stays busy from early morning until late in the evening. Our shop is small but we manage to fit everything we need inside the walls. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two or three people are standing in here at once. We’ve got our tools and various spare parts scattered around on the workbenches where we can reach them. The floor is made of concrete and shows the wear and tear of years of hard work. Gandhinagar is a lively neighborhood, and being in a market means we hear a lot of shouting and haggling right outside our door. It’s just the background noise of our working day. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of old wall fans that keep the air moving enough to be comfortable. In the summer months, it gets quite warm, but we’re used to it. We usually keep a water cooler in the corner for ourselves and anyone who stops in. There’s no big marketing team here; it’s just us doing the actual labor. People stop by to ask questions or get things checked out. It’s a honest way to spend the day.
