We are situated near the J K Temple at 120/500/241 Lajpat Nagar. It’s a good location because the temple is such a well-known spot. People usually find us by looking for that. The building is a decent size, and we’ve got several rooms for different medical needs. Every day follows a similar pattern. We arrive, check the overnight messages, and start getting the patient charts ready for the morning sessions. The lobby has a bunch of chairs and a television that usually plays the news at a low volume. We have a small desk where we handle all the registrations. It gets quite hectic around mid-morning when everyone arrives at once. We don't have a lot of corporate polish here; we’re just a group of people working in a medical centre. Sometimes the printer jams or we run out of registration forms, and we have to scramble to fix it while people are waiting. The floors are a light grey and they show every footprint, so the cleaning staff is always busy. We have a small area where we keep our bags and coats. Most of us have been here for a long time, so we know how to handle the busy days without getting too stressed out. When the day ends, we make sure all the lights are off and the files are locked away. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. We just focus on the people who come through the door in Lajpat Nagar.
