Sabra Leather Finishers

We’ve been here in Wajidpur Jajmau for a while now. Most people around here know what we do with leather. It’s messy work, but somebody has to finish the skins so they look right before they go off to become shoes or bags. We spend most of our days dealing with the chemicals and the drying racks. It gets hot in the workshop, especially in the afternoons. My father started things off, and I just kept it going because it’s what I know. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just a space where the work gets done. Sometimes the smell of the hides is pretty strong, but you get used to it after a few years. People come by to drop off batches, and we get to it when we can. We try to keep things moving so nobody is waiting too long for their stock. The machines we use are old, but they still work fine if you treat them right. Jajmau is a busy place for this kind of thing, so there’s always something happening on our street. It isn’t always easy keeping everything organized with so many pieces coming in and out, but we manage. If you’re looking for the shop, we’re right there in the thick of it. Just a regular bunch of guys working with leather every day and trying to make ends meet.
