Crown Enterprises

Crown Enterprises is situated at No. 96 A Pokharpur in the Jajmau area. Even though the address lists Kolkata 29, we are right here on the ground in this neighborhood. Our building is a bit older and has seen a lot of years. We use most of the space for storage because we deal with a lot of different goods and supplies. It’s not a retail shop where things are neatly displayed. It is more of a warehouse where boxes are stacked up to the ceiling. We have a small area near the front with a couple of old desks where we do our bookkeeping. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have worked together for a long time. Jajmau is a busy, crowded place so it can be a bit of a struggle when the delivery trucks arrive. We have to move things around manually most of the time. The walls are a bit stained and the floor is uneven, but it works for what we need. We don't spend money on fancy signs or decor. We just focus on getting the orders ready and making sure the inventory is correct. We know all the other business owners on this street. Sometimes we sit outside on plastic chairs when it’s too hot inside the building. We just do our work without any fuss or complicated systems. It’s a simple, local business that has been around the block a few times.
