Down at 26/50 Birhana Road is where we have our main office and where we keep all the stock. Hiltex Industrial Fabrics Pvt. Ltd. has been around this part of the city for a long time now. It is an old street and things can get pretty crowded, especially during the middle of the day when everyone is out. We handle a lot of different types of fabrics that are meant for industrial use. It is not the kind of soft stuff you would use to make a shirt or a dress, but it is exactly what factories and builders are looking for. The warehouse part of our space stays pretty full most of the time. We have heavy rolls of material stacked up all over the place. Sometimes it is really hard to move around when a big shipment has just come in. We have a small team here. A couple of us handle the paperwork and the phone calls, and the other guys are in the back moving things around and checking the inventory lists. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s mostly just desks, phones, and a lot of fabric samples lying around on every flat surface we have. We get calls all day from people looking for specific types of cloth. We just check the books and see if we have it in the back. Birhana Road is always moving, so it's never quiet.
