Our place is in Gopala Chamber, which is at Office Number 206 on the second floor. If you are familiar with Kanpur, you know the Parade Chauraha area is always packed. It’s a very busy part of town with a lot of noise and people moving around. The building itself is an older one. You have to walk up the stairs since the lift isn't always reliable. Inside, we’ve got our setup with a few desks and chairs. It’s not a huge office, so things can feel a bit cramped when we are all in at once. There’s usually a lot of paperwork on the desks and cables running along the floor. We can hear the honking from the Chauraha all day long, but you get used to it after a while. Sometimes the tea seller from downstairs brings us some chai in the afternoon. Kanpur gets very dusty, so we are always cleaning the keyboards. We don’t have any fancy decorations or a big sign. Most people find us by looking for the Chamber near the intersection. It’s a practical space for us. We’ve been here for a bit and know the other shop owners in the building. It’s a typical Kanpur business environment, nothing too polished, just a place where we get our daily work finished. The lights flickered a bit last week, but we got it fixed. It’s just how things go here.
