Golu Store

Golu Store is located right in Fazal Ganj, specifically at Shop No 7. It is a small place, but we manage to keep a lot of different things in stock. Kanpur is a busy city, and this area is no exception. We get all kinds of people coming through. Some are just passing by and need a cold bottle of water, while others are neighbors who have been buying their monthly supplies from us for years. We carry a bit of everything—snacks, household cleaners, basic food items, and whatever else people ask for often. I try to keep the shop open as much as I can, even on some holidays, because people always need something at the last minute. The space is a bit cramped, especially when we get a fresh delivery of crates, but that is just how it goes in a small shop. We do not have a big staff, just a couple of us who know where everything is hidden. It is a practical little store. We do not bother with marketing or anything like that; our customers know where we are and what we sell. It is a straightforward way to earn a living, and we enjoy being part of the Fazal Ganj community. Sometimes we have a little chat with the regulars while they wait for their change. It keeps the day interesting for us and helps keep the business going in this busy area.
