Globus Hospital

Our spot is at No. 117/N/59 in A-One Market, which is just down the way from some of the other buildings in Kakadeo. Globus Hospital occupies this space, and it’s a fairly straightforward setup. There is a counter where people check in, and then a hallway that leads back to the various rooms. The walls are mostly bare, except for a few calendars and some old notices pinned up. It’s a practical place. We don't spend money on decorations because we’re too busy with the daily flow of people. The market is right outside the door, so there’s always the sound of vendors shouting or horns honking. It becomes background noise after you’ve worked here for a month or two. We have a small staff room where we keep our bags and eat our tiffin together. The plumbing can be a bit temperamental sometimes, and we have to call the repairman more often than we'd like. The windows don't let in much light because of the other tall buildings nearby, so we rely on the overhead tubes. It gets hot in the summer, and the fans work overtime to keep everyone from sweating too much. We see a lot of local families who have been coming here for years. It’s not a polished corporate office; it’s just a hospital in the middle of a busy market street where we do our best.
