About Globus Hospital – Medical & Healthcare in Kanpur
Globus Hospital is tucked into A-One Market at No. 117/N/33 in Kakadeo. This area is always full of students and street food vendors, so there is a lot of energy around. The building itself is a standard concrete structure, nothing too special to look at from the street. Inside, the hallways are painted a pale blue that’s started to fade over the years. We spend most of our time moving between the front desk and the patient rooms. The market outside is loud, especially in the afternoons when the shops are all open. You can smell the food from the stalls if the wind blows the right way. We have a small elevator that sometimes takes its time, so most of us just use the stairs to get around. The reception area has a few rows of plastic chairs and a clock on the wall that ticks a bit too loudly when it's quiet. Working in Kakadeo means things are rarely quiet, though. There is always someone coming in with a question or needing a form filled out. We keep the registers organized by hand mostly. It’s a lot of manual work and long hours on our feet. The windows look out onto the market, and sometimes we just watch the people go by during a quick tea break. It is a very normal, local kind of place where everyone knows the layout by heart.
