General Store & Trading Co.

We are over at Plot No.32 in the Mani Complex here in Kanpur Nagar. It is usually pretty noisy around the complex during the day but that is just how it is. We mostly spend our time moving boxes around and checking what needs to be put back on the shelves for the next day. Sometimes the light in the back room flickers and we keep saying we will fix it but things just get busy. General Store & Trading Co. is what we call the place and it is mostly just us here making sure the locals can find what they need without having to drive across town. Kanpur Nagar has changed a bit over the years but this spot stays the same for the most part. We have some old desks in the corner where we keep the books and handle the trading side of things. It is not a fancy setup but it works for us. Usually, the mornings are for unloading the trucks and then the afternoons are a bit slower which gives us time to drink some tea and talk to anyone who stops by. We try to keep a bit of everything in stock so people do not leave empty-handed. Some days are long and the floor gets dusty from all the foot traffic but we just sweep it up at the end of the shift.
