Ganga Engineers

Ganga Engineers is located at Plot No. 9A in Sadanand Nagar, which is over in the Ahirwan area of Kanpur. Our place is right in the middle of a lot of other industrial and residential buildings. Kanpur is a city that knows its way around machinery and hard work, and we are just a part of that. The plot itself has enough space for our equipment and the bits of metal and tools we use every day. It’s not a fancy office with carpets; it’s more of a place where things actually get made or fixed. The air around Ahirwan usually smells like grease and exhaust, which is pretty standard for this part of town. We have a few desks for the paperwork and the technical drawings, but mostly we are out on the floor. People come by to discuss projects or to pick up things we’ve finished. Sometimes the power goes out, which is common here, and we just have to wait it out or use the generator. We’ve been at Plot 9A for a good stretch of time now. Most of the guys working here have been in the engineering trade for years. We don’t talk much about "innovation" or anything like that; we just focus on getting the measurements right and making sure the parts fit. It’s noisy and sometimes a bit disorganized, but we know where everything is.
