Our office in Kanpur is located over at 58, Sub. S.N. Dixit in Mangla Vihar-II, right by the New PAC Line. It’s a residential-feeling area which makes it a bit quieter than being in the middle of the city. We’ve been here for quite a while now. The space is simple and serves its purpose. As part of Gammon India, we focus on the stuff that keeps projects running in this region. We have a few desks, some sturdy filing cabinets, and a lot of logbooks. The local tea stall nearby is where most of us end up during the afternoon break. It’s a humble setup. We don't go in for big meetings or long presentations. It’s mostly just sitting down and figuring out the day's problems. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it’s not really a priority for us right now. We care more about making sure the numbers are right and the schedules are met. Kanpur can be dusty, so we spend a fair bit of time wiping down our monitors and desks every morning. It’s a steady job and we’ve got a good group of people who have been working together for years. We just get on with it without making a fuss. Sometimes we stay late when a project needs it, but mostly we stick to a regular routine. It's a plain office for plain people doing honest work every day.
