You can find Fertilizers & Cement Limited over at Ck Estate in Palki. We are right near the Indian Oil Corporation, which makes it easy to give directions to people coming from out of town. We’ve been operating from this spot for quite some time now. Our day starts early because that’s when the trucks arrive with the bags of cement and the fertilizer loads. It’s a heavy business, lots of lifting and moving stuff around the yard. We aren't a fancy corporation with a glass building. Our office is just a small room where we keep the ledger and take orders. Most of the time, we are outside checking the stock or helping someone load up their trailer. It’s dirty work sometimes, especially when the cement dust gets everywhere, but it’s what we do. We know most of the farmers and builders around Palki because they’ve been coming to us for years. We don't do big TV ads or anything like that. Word of mouth is how we get most of our customers. If we say we have something in stock, we have it. If we don’t, we’ll tell you when it’s coming. We just try to be useful to the people who are building things or growing crops around here. It’s a simple operation and we like keeping it that way without any extra fuss or expensive branding.
