Dr. Jawaharlal Rohatgi Memorial Eye Hospital

You can find us right on G.T. Road in Sarvodaya Nagar. This eye hospital has been part of the landscape here for a long time. It’s a memorial hospital, named after Dr. Jawaharlal Rohatgi. We focus on eyes, obviously. People come in from all over the area because we’ve been around so long. The building is older and has that specific smell of a medical facility that’s seen a lot of history. We do eye exams, surgeries, and help people get their glasses sorted out. It can get very crowded in the mornings, especially in the waiting hall. People sit on the benches and wait their turn while the ceiling fans hum overhead. It’s a bit of an old-school way of doing things, but it works for us. We don't have a lot of flashy signs or high-end decor. The focus is just on the patients and their vision. The staff knows the routine inside out. Sometimes the queue takes a while, and people get a bit impatient, but we try to see everyone who shows up eventually. Working on G.T. Road means there is constant traffic noise outside, but inside we just keep going with the eye tests and the operations. It’s a busy, functional place that serves the community without trying to be anything other than a reliable hospital. It is what it is, and we’ve been doing it this way for decades now. We just stay busy.
