Dheeru General Store

Dheeru General Store is tucked into Block H of Kidwai Nagar at number 128/264. It is a pretty straightforward place in a residential part of Kanpur. We do not have any big windows or fancy lights, just a solid counter and rows of shelves filled with everyday things. I usually open up around eight and stay until the last few people finish their evening walks around the neighborhood. It is mostly just me here, though sometimes a family member sits in so I can grab a quick meal in the back. We stock things like soap, tea leaves, and pulses. It is the kind of place where you can just pop in if you realized you are out of something while you are cooking dinner. The floor is made of concrete and we have an old wooden stool that has seen better days. Kidwai Nagar is a busy area, but our specific block stays relatively calm most of the time. We do not do any big promotions or sales, we just sell things at the normal price to whoever needs them. It is a quiet existence, just keeping track of the stock and making sure nothing expires on the shelf. If someone needs a specific brand of biscuits, we try to order it for them. We have been at 128/264 for years now, and we plan to stay right here.
