Deys Hospital

We are over in Lal Bangla, specifically near the Kazi Khera side of the neighborhood. It is a busy part of the area, and things never really slow down much. The hospital isn't brand new, you can tell by the walls and the way the hallways are a bit narrow in places. There is always someone sitting on the wooden benches in the lobby waiting for news or an appointment. We have a few wards and the nurses are usually rushing around with their clipboards and medicine trays. It gets quite loud during the day when the traffic outside on the main road picks up. Lal Bangla has a lot of energy, and we are right in the middle of all of it. The front desk is usually piled with papers and folders. We try to keep things organized, but on busy Monday mornings it is a real challenge. The smell of disinfectant is pretty strong as soon as you walk through the front doors. Patients come from all over this side of town to see us. Sometimes the power goes out and the generator kicks in with a very loud hum that everyone is used to by now. That is just part of life here. We have a small canteen nearby where people grab tea. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we know each other's habits well. It is just a practical place.
