We are located right on P Road, tucked in near the SBI branch in Rambagh. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets around here. Our office at 104-A/213-A is usually a mess of blueprints and engineering manuals. D K Architectural & Engg Consultants is basically just a few of us trying to make sense of building codes and site measurements all day. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, and the hallway is always a little dim. We spend a lot of time on the phone with site supervisors who are complaining about materials or weather. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find plush chairs or expensive art. We have some old filing cabinets that have seen better days and a water cooler that leaks if you aren't careful. Being adjacent to the bank means there’s always people milling around outside. Sometimes the noise from Rambagh makes it hard to focus, but we manage. Lunch is usually something picked up from a nearby stall. We don’t really have a set routine, as things change depending on which project is urgent. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is hitting, and the street gets quiet while we’re still looking at computer screens. It’s a practical workspace for practical people. We just do the work that needs doing without much fuss or fanfare. There is always more to learn about the buildings in this city.
