Rma Shanker Kanhya Lal

We have been around for a long time, operating from 74/34 Collector Ganj and also out at 129/A Galla Mandi in Naubsta, Kanpur. My family has been in the trading business for generations, and the name Rma Shanker Kanhya Lal is something we are proud of. We mostly deal with grains and other bulk items that come through the mandi. It’s a loud, dusty, and very busy environment, especially early in the morning when the farmers arrive. We spend our hours weighing bags, checking the quality of the loads, and negotiating prices. There is a lot of shouting and moving around, but that’s just how the market works. We don't have a fancy showroom. Our offices are small and filled with ledgers and old wooden furniture. It’s a traditional way of doing business that hasn't changed much over the years. We know most of the other traders in Collector Ganj, and there is a lot of history in these streets. Some days the market is up, some days it’s down, but we just keep showing up. We don't use any modern marketing tricks because everyone knows who we are and what we do. It’s about trust and being there every single day. We are just a part of the old Kanpur trade, trying to keep things running smoothly for everyone involved in the supply chain.
